Schedule a Virtual Visit here or by calling or emailing the office.
When is it appropriate to schedule a Virtual Visit?
Virtual visits are appropriate for a variety of care needs, including new patient evaluation, urgent care, chronic pain management, medication adjustments and concerns, reviewing test or lab results, and guidance for self-care. During the Coronavirus pandemic, we are using this technology to reduce the need for in-person visits, thus ensuring the safety of our patients and staff.
How much does it cost?
During the Coronavirus pandemic, Medicare and other insurers have relaxed rules concerning payment for virtual visits, allowing most to be paid just like in-office visits. However, these policies are changing rapidly, so it is best to check with your insurer in advance of your visit. Shortly before your virtual visit you will receive an email and text message to check-in through a secure online platform. As with any office visit, we will collect the normal copay amount during the check-in process. After your virtual visit we will submit a claim to your insurance carrier for full payment. If the service is not covered by your insurance, we will work with you to pay the balance.
Technical Requirements
You must have a good internet connection (at least 20mbps). If you can use FaceTime, Zoom, Skype or similar applications on your phone, tablet or computer, you should be able to complete a virtual visit. You do not need to download a special app or use a particular brand of smartphone, computer or internet browser. Your smartphone, tablet or computer must have a microphone and a camera.
